Downe House Muscat is a new build UK Independent Girls school located in Muscat Oman, which will cater for 864 pupils, split across Prep and Senior year groups. The vision of Downe House Muscat is to provide an innovative and nurturing environment, that encourages and supports all students to aspire to become the best possible versions of themselves.

Downe House

The branch campus will emulate and be a reflection of the home UK campus, through the integration of and connection with the surrounding landscape – providing an incredible opportunity for the tailored UK curriculum to be delivered through both interior and exterior spaces. Tones of the surrounding Hajjar Mountains, have been used in the building cladding, further integrating the campus within the local context.

Laid out as pavilions in the landscape, the campus consists of 4 interconnected buildings: main academic, performing & creative arts, STEAM and sports which all contribute to a world class learning opportunity. The building heights themselves are kept deliberately low in order to ensure integration within the larger master plan community. The school sees Sport and Athletics as a key factor in the development of a person’s whole character and as such the combination of the junior & senior pitches, MUGA’s and natatorium all contribute to ensuring this character development.
